Hey guys! I have a new idea. Recently, spoilers has been a big debate on the wiki. A lot of people love them but at the same time, a lot of people don't want to know spoilers. So I had this new idea. You know how some pages have second pages that connect to them? I'm not sure what you would call them but like how the Everglades & Ally-Gators has the gallery page named Everglades & Ally-Gators/Gallery. I was thinking that we could start giving episode pages their own page for spoilers. For example, the Fanatics & Favors page would have a spoiler page titled "Fanatics & Favors/Spoilers." I know this would be a huge change to the wiki, but I think it could work. Here are a few rules that would go with it:
- Spoiler pages would only be for upcoming episodes.
- Spoiler pages would list spoilers found as well as fan speculation and rumors. They should have a reference if possible.
- All spoiler pages will include a "do you want to continue" pop up, something like the Innuendo page has.
- There will be a disclaimer at the top of the page informing the reader that they are only spoilers and speculation.
- Once the episode is aired, the spoiler page should be deleted.
Spoiler pages would also be a little less professional than our regular pages. They'd be something like this:
Fashion Shows & First Impressions/Spoilers
Fashion Shows & First Impressions is the twelfth episode to be filmed for Season 3 of Austin & Ally. This episode will air on June 29, 2014. Continue below for spoilers and fan speculations about the episode!
Spoilers
- Austin and Ally will kiss as revealed in a YouTube clip.
- The cast will talk about themselves at the end of this episode.
- In this episode, Austin and Ally will reveal their feelings for each other.
Speculation
- It is believed that Ally will model in this episode.
- It is believed that Austin will design an outfit for Ally.
- Dez will try to sabotage Chuck.
So yeah, it'd be something like that! The thing I like about having a spoiler page for each episode is that it separates the spoilers/speculation from the factual information. It also gives users a choice. They really don't have to look at the spoiler version of the page if they don't want to. Also, spoiler commenting could happen on these pages only and it would keep it off the episode pages.
So please, tell me what you think about this idea in a reply. Thanks guys! :)
